Anarres provides free web, mail, and domain hosting for its clients in conjunction with a warranty contract whenever we develop a custom Drupal site, or as a subscription-based "service" on our Standard or Custom Platform.
We support our sites' "good functioning" with email-based ticketing and managed security upgrades. This does not include troubleshooting desktop or network software itself, but extends to the distribution and receipt of email through Anarres servers, as well as the Drupal Platform, security monitoring and updates to our servers, and so on.
Anarres has built a solid development infrastructure that allows us to easily and effectively work on our own Drupal sites, without worrying about the complexities of multiple hosting companies and development environments for each of our clients.
We have an extremely stable webserver on which all of our clients are currently hosted. It is situated in a large datacenter on high-quality server hardware (the Dual Opteron 246-2 server described here. These are monitored and maintained by our systems and network addmin team, as well as the developers who deploy our sites.
We generally prefer our clients host their sites with us for at least the first year after initial development simply because it is the best way to honour our guarantee on the work we've done. We do our best to provide a quality service on par with traditional hosting providers.
